Q. What COVID-19 measures do you have in place whilst at the wedding venue or at a customer's home? Do I need to prepare anything? If possible I need to work in a ventilated room/area next to a window where social distancing can be observed and minimal contact with those not having make-up. I’ll be wearing PPE in the form of a full facial visor, using hand sanitizer and hand washing regularly. Clean, fully disinfected brushes and a cosmetic sanitizing spray on my products will be used for each client. If you have any queries regarding COVID processes please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Q: I’m getting married, how far in advance should I consider booking you?"A: It's never too early to enquire and secure your wedding date as peek months and weekends tend to get booked up to a year in advance and more! Don’t miss out on securing your date as it will soon get snapped up!
-
Q: How do I secure my wedding date and do I need to pay a deposit? What I normally do if you're interested in securing your wedding date is to send you a booking form to get a little more information about your day and an invoice for a £50 booking fee which is non-refundable but will be deducted from your final make-up invoice. Once I have received both booking form and booking fee your wedding date will be secured. Payment for the trial can be made via bank transfer on the day of the trial.
-
Q: Do I need a trial before the wedding?A: Trials are not compulsory but are highly recommended to ensure we create your desired look for the Wedding day. At the trial I will offer professional advice and suggestions, working with you until we achieve a tailor made look that you are satisfied with.
-
Q. What do I need to do to prepare for the trial and how long does it normally last?A: If you have any pictures/ideas for make-up styles you like I always say to bring them along and also a sneaky peek at a picture of the dress can help me to visualise the look you wish to achieve. However pictures of make-up styles aren’t compulsory as I will always chat through your preferences and ideas to create a beautiful tailor made look that is perfect and comfortable for you.
-
Q. Where are trials held and when do I need to book in before the wedding for my trial?A: Trials must be booked no later than 2months prior to the Wedding Day and can be booked up to 12months before. Trials are currently held at my make-up room at my home address in Quorn LE12 Wednesdays, Thursdays & Friday’s 9:30 - 4pm Alternative appointments may be available due to exceptional circumstances and/or availability.
-
Q. Do I arrive with or without make-up on for my trial?A: It doesn’t matter if you arrive with or without make-up as I’ll cleanse either way. Some brides like me to see how they normally wear their make-up but it’s totally up to you.
-
Q. How long will the trial take?A:Your makeup trial will typically last around 90 minutes to 2 hours and will include time for a consultation, make-up application and any ‘tweaking’ to achieve your perfect look. I will also advise on any skin care queries you have to do leading up to the wedding day. Once we are happy with your make-up, I will take photos, fill in a chart, make notes of your make-up so I can easily re-create your look on the day. It’s also a good idea to try and wear a top similar colour to your wedding dress as this will help reflect the colour back into your face so will see how it will look on the day.
-
Q. If I have a spray tan before the wedding will this affect my make-up?A: No it won’t affect your make-up as I always bring my full make-up kit on the morning including a wide range of foundation shades in case we need to colour match you again.
-
Q. On the morning of the wedding should I have my hair done first or make-up?A: It really doesn’t matter to me I will always work around what works best with the timings of the morning. I just always make sure I don’t leave you right to the end to have your make-up done.
-
Q. Will my wedding make-up last?A: I use all long lasting and waterproof professional make-up brands in my kit that will keep your make-up in place through to the evening. I just advise to keep on top of reapplying your lip colour as this is something that can wear off due to drinking and eating etc. I always do a last make-up ‘top up’ and fixing spray to all the bridal party just before you get into your dresses to ensure you all look make-up perfect before you leave for the ceremony.
-
Q. How many people in my party can I have for make-up on the day?A: The maximum number for make-up bookings per wedding is normally 6, including the Bride depending on the amount of time we have and ceremony time etc. Depending on the number of people in your party an appointment/schedule system may be used to ensure everything runs smoothly.
-
Q. Which make-up brands do you use in your kit?A: I use a wide variety of make-up brands that I have tried and tested over the years for their longevity and duration and photographic qualities which makes them perfect for wedding make-up. Brands included in my kit are Bobbi Brown, MAC, Urban Decay, Charlotte Tilbury, NYX Professional Makeup and Nars.
-
Q. I have sensitive skin will your wedding make-up be suitable for me?A. The majority of products that I use are hypo allergenic, however if you know that you prefer certain products, eg: if you have tried and tested a product and have found one that suits you best, please provide it so I can apply it for you.
-
Q. When is the final payment for the wedding due?A: Once your trial has been held, the styles agreed and you are satisfied, I will then issue your invoice 1 months prior to the Wedding Day and the balance outstanding is payable no less than 7 days prior to your wedding date. A lot of my brides sometimes to prefer to settle the finale payment sooner which is also fine with me.
-
Q. Is there a travel charge?A: Travel will be charged at 45p per mile (round trip) to your chosen prep address from LE12.
-
Q. What happens if I need to cancel my booking?A: In the unfortunate event that you have to cancel your booking (after submitting your booking form and deposit) cancellation charges will be applied as follows: 2-4 months prior to wedding day – 50% of the cost for cancelled services due 1-2 months prior to wedding day – 75% of the cost for cancelled services due You will not be refunded for any cancelled services within 1 month prior to wedding day.
