ABOUT ME

I have had over 14 years of experience in the makeup industry and I’ve loved every moment of it. I’ve worked on tv sets, music videos and over the past 8 years I have had the privilege of working with brides on their special day.

My interest in makeup started at very young age through my involvement in dance performing in numerous shows and national competitions with The Charnwood School of Dance, here I was able to start experimenting with the art of makeup. This led to my passion and dream to become a professional makeup artist and embarked on completing an Advanced Artistic Makeup and Special Effects course at Leicester College.

Not even having completed the course, I landed a dream opportunity to travel with ‘The UK Make-up School’ to Singapore to work alongside other established artists at the ‘Movie City’ Exhibition. Using the skills I’d learnt, along with my dedication and enthusiasm to be successful, I embarked on my own freelance makeup artist career.

As well as beautifying many brides over the years, my experience also includes MTV, Ministry Of Sound, T4, BBC, L’Oreal Colour Trophy finals and working with independent production companies on TV promos, music videos and live bands.

Whilst building up my mobile makeup artist business, I also worked as Cabin Crew for British Airways for 10 years. It had been a great way to see the world whilst also building my dream. The perks of being Cabin Crew made it very hard to hang up my wings but after getting married myself and starting our little family it felt the perfect time to commit fully to my makeup dream. I can honestly say it was the best decision I could have made and I have never looked back. Almost 4 years on my professional makeup artist business is going from strength to strength.

I started to focus on bridal makeup and really building up the wedding freelance makeup artist work after being called upon by many friends and family to beautify them on their wedding days’ and the beauty of word of mouth brought more work my way and I felt that I had found my niche in the makeup world.

I’m always so grateful to every Bride that chooses to book me as I genuinely get butterflies of excitement for each one of my brides. To experience their journey from when they first enquire, to meeting them at the trial and hearing all about the exciting wedding plans and to then see the whole look come together on the morning of the biggest day of their lives is so special! I often forget I'm not actually going to the wedding I feel that involved!

Every Bride and every wedding is so different and I honestly never feel like I’m going to ‘work’. I’m living my dream!
